
The mounted statue of King Norodom at the grounds of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
This is an impressive statue dedicated to the late King Norodom who serves the Kingdom of Cambodia from the period 1834-1904 and is made by French artist Eude, The statue was made in Paris in 1875 and was mounted on the Pagoda grounds at The Royal Palace in Phnom Penh in 1892. King Norodom Sihanouk in 1953, added the canopy at the height of new independence of the Kingdom. Beside the statue, to its north lies the stupa which houses the ashes of King Norodom.
