Travels 161: The Alindahaw Lakeview infinite experience

One of the finer details of life is on being able to live what one plans for one’s life and commune with nature at its best. Journeys and Travels had this experience one Sunday afternoon when he visited the Alindahaw Lakeview Resort in Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur to try its infinity pool at the dusk. He was with his good friend Jack Klester Lumacang, the talented and creative mind behind many of websites and promotional materials. Photoshoot for the newly done disco pool for the resort is on top of the agenda this Sunday.

Journeys and Travels have been a regular of the resort and the last time he was able to be at the Alindahaw Lakeview Resort was with Journeying James on a day when they both travelled to Lakewood to try its lake. One of the best experiences of Journeys and Travels is the visit he has with Journeying James for it opens opportunities on one of his most recent interests: Couchsurfing and Travel Blogging. Though restricted at that time, Journeying James was able to take the much desired though initially restrained dip at the enchanting Lakewood.

Today’s visit was a different experience altogether. It gave me the opportunity to try the infinity pool at the Alindahaw Lakeview Resort and to also meet with the key staffs at the resort for a much needed discussion on some service refinements. Above all else, the visit to Alindahaw Lakeview Resort is one that gave a new perspective to lakeside resort experience, one that is rare in the Philippines, much more in other parts of Mindanao. As I had observed, lakeside experience is totally different from the usual hubbub of commercial resorts. I have seen this experience as a relaxing one, dipping through infinity pool and looking at the horizon beyond the lake with much awe with the greatness of the environs.

The feel of the early evening was romantic too. The breeze is cooler and the at dawn, as they said, the lake remains still like a mirror slab, no waves, no nothing, except stillness and the fog slowly goes down to the entire lake, enveloping each nook and cranny of its enormous expanse.

If one needs time to relax, commune with nature, be appreciative of the slowness of life, absorb the beauty of the tranquil lake at dusk, come to Alindahaw Lakeview Resort. It is one kind of a life’s experience incomparably with what has been experienced in a lifetime.
