Travels 182: The Peaceful City of Marawi

As with other people who had unverified impressions of places, I had been a victim until I was given the chance to correct those impressions when I first took my historic visit to the Islamic City of Marawi.

Our blogger friend from Iligan Bloggers Society brought me and Pinay Travelista to the Provincial Capitol where I find the most peaceful ambiance when I saw the mosque besides the government building.

The Provincial Capitol is one huge structure that represented the Okir designs and architectural designs inherent to those people living beside the lake, the Maranaos. I loved the intricacies it purport and the colourful vistas pointing to the creativity and craftsmanship that can nowhere found but in Lanao del Sur and only in Marawi City.

When taking photo of the mosque inside the premises of the Provincial Capitol, I felt at peace with the City whom I had been longing to visit. Now that I have conquered its beauty and enjoyed its cool breeze, I wanna go back and visit some other noteworthy sites within the city.
